Get closer to the source of returns - Invest as an LP  with the power of a GP

AAI builds  emerging manager opportunities tailored to the needs of the institution

About Us

We have over 30 years of experience helping institutional investors access alternative investments in a smarter, more direct way.  We align our interests directly with our clients:

We only benefit when our client/partners benefit.

What we do:

- Identify  client needs and preferences

- Search for suitable emerging investment manager choices and engage        fully in deep dive due diligence leading to specific recommendations that our clients may embrace or pass at their discretion.

-Negotiate fees, revenue share and term of an agreement with a prospective emerging manager resulting - in every case - with a  net enhancement to potential IRR.

What we do NOT do:

- We do not offer prebuilt products or blank check investments.

Our Core Values:

Our Core Values

- Respect Institutional Capital and the constituents it represents

- Respect the roll EESG must play in a thoughtful investment process.

       - The added E represents the consideration of  employee impact

- Connect the investor as closely, to the source of returns, as possible

- Earn remuneration from results - not process

- Provide complete transparency in every aspect of the assignment

- Only act in the best interest of the investor and their constituents

Our Expertise

AAI is specifically focused on delivering alternative investment opportunities provided by emerging managers. This focus allows us to connect the investor closer to the source of return through the potential for:

    - Lower fees, capacity and co-invest rights, and a significant revenue share. We work with emerging managers who specialize in either public or private investments including:  Hedge Funds, Private Equity and Venture Capital.

Andrew W. Gitlin

History

Andrew Gitlin has been a pioneer and leader in the alternative investment space since 1987. In that year, Mr. Gitlin began work on what would be the first US Bank Hedge Fund at Chase Manhattan Bank. Prior to his time at Chase Mr. Gitlin spent a number of years leading the financing side of an industrial focused venture capital firm. Mr. Gitlin has subsequently spent time building a Private Equity oriented Merchant Bank with the Dubai Government as well launching and running his own hedge fund. Notably, Mr. Gitlin was the CEO of AIG International Asset Management from 1990 - 2000.   Most recently Mr. Gitlin has lead Paamco Launchpad as CEO responsible for clients and emerging manager deal structure. Mr. Gitlin graduated with a BS from Cornell University in 1982.

Expertise

Mr. Gitlin prides himself on his ability to develop creative solutions that solve client needs. His ability to "see around corners" allows him to deliver innovation and creativity to the recommendations he shares with his clients. Importantly, Mr. Gitlin is known for his ability to execute, guiding   his projects through to conclusion.  Most importantly, Mr. Gitlin is proud of his ability to  establish long term trust based relationships with his clients.

What Next?

Mr. Gitlin continues to help institutional investors edge ever closer to the sources of return.  Alignment of interests and a tangible value proposition are at the core of his efforts. Finally, the evolution of conscious investing with the formal inclusion of E (employees) into the ESG equation is front and center in Mr. Gitlin's efforts. He is convinced that companies which treat employees humanely, fairly and as core constituents in their business ultimately perform better both financially and as community members.
